Pierrot Lunaire - Moonstruck
Start of the international music theater project “n[o]ice!” at the HMTMH: Within three years, students from the fields of singing/opera and composition want to give contemporary music a new [o]per. As a prelude, “Pierrot Lunaire - Mondsüchtig" will be created in collaboration with the Scenography - Costume - Experimental Design course at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. With three times seven songs, Arnold Schönberg's melodrama Pierrot Lunaire takes us into the night life of the dangerous and endangered who cannot sleep in the pale light of the moon. Seven new compositions intervene moonstruck in the events, reflecting, commenting and interpreting. Six voices and five instruments are scenically interwoven, from “melancholy, gloomy waltzes” to the sound of “wild pleasure chords”.
Premiere 30.06.23, further performances on 01, 03, 04.07.23 in Studio D / E 30
