With its distinguished and highly qualified team of teachers, HMTMH offers an excellent education, which is oriented towards the individuality of the students and prepares them for the profession of a singer with a high practical component - with the possibility of an additional qualification in the field of vocal pedagogy.

The foundations are laid in the four-year bachelor's degree program in singing. This is characterized by its broad range of courses. Following this, students have the opportunity to specialize in two master's degree programs or to take up a career as a singer.

The students at HMTMH are competently and intensively supervised by internationally networked specialists* in the fields of opera, concert, oratorio, lied, vocal pedagogy, directing and conducting. The goal is to teach not methods, but people who represent the future generation of artists* on the international market.

The center of the training is the main building at the Neues Haus, where the events take place in close proximity to numerous other artistic training paths. The "Richard-Jakoby-Saal" with almost 500 seats, complete stage technology and lowerable orchestra pit represents a university-owned opera company of medium size and allows up to three opera productions a year.

In addition, the university has several chamber music halls as well as lecture halls and seminar rooms with technically up-to-date equipment. Special emphasis is placed on the possibility of working with computer-assisted voice analysis programs.
